Note that we only carry a branded extract of Ashwagandha known as KSM-66 ® ; this is done because the company that produces KSM-66 ® , Ixoreal Biomed Inc, regularly produces an Ashwagandha extract that we feel has an excellent reputation. The company also has high standard in terms of quality control.  Ashwagandha is largely considered non-toxic, and required massive doses in animal studies to reach the LD50 . Ashwagandha has been known to lower blood pressure, so people with already low blood pressure may want to avoid taking Ashwagandha. Likewise Ashwagandha can upset the GI tract and should not be taken if you have a stomach ulcer. If you experience adverse effects from taking this product, discontinue use immediately and contact your health care provider.

Wow – thanks for the great info, JP! I’ve been growing my own herbs for the first time this summer with great success. The spearmint and sage seem to be doing the best, so I’ve been making large amounts of tea out of them. Been drinking quite a bit of both for about 6 weeks now. On a whim, I decided to google positive and negative aspects of ingesting these herbs and found that Sage contains large levels of thujone and should not be ingested in large quantities – yikes! And now I’ve learned from you that spearmint in large quantities may be shrinking my boys and lowering my libido – double yikes!! Who knew? What a shame, as I really enjoyed both as an ‘all day’ beverage. Oh well. Say, do you have any info on French Tarragon as a tea preparation? I really like having fresh herbal beverage to take the place of all the soda I was drinking.

Dear Dr Miller, myself and my wife we were trying to have baby since last 3 yrs but no success. Last month i went to doctor and had my FSH,LH,T and SA tests done. FSH – uIU/ml, LH – uIU/ml, T – ng/ml. Sperm count was M/ml. Doctor told me that LH and T are normal where as FSH is high. He suggested me to take clomid 25mg daily to increase my sperm production . After 1 month , i had done my SA tests again . i expected sperm count to increase but instead i found out that my sperm count has actually decreased to M/ml. Pls help me doctor

: 7 months after the surgery, and my flow rate is still superb. Still hitting peaks up to 30mL/second, with no sign of re-occurring stricture. However, my surgeon, while being arrogant, is one of the leading/most experienced urologists in the United States. Skill/experience of the surgeon is of prime important determining the chances of a successful procedure. Of course, there is still the chance that no matter how good the surgeon, that the procedure will not work, due to various uncontrollable factors. I feel so much better than I did pre-surgery. Every time I urinate I am thankful for the relief now. I may have left some details out of the article I wrote, because it was not proof-read. I just felt like typing it out one day. If there was an edit function I would revise some of it to include more information. Please feel free to email me at **** and put 'Urethral Stricture' in the subject line so that it does not get trashed. I'll answer any question you want, and try to help you prepare.

Christine, I’m so sorry you are going through this experience. We always and only recommend physiological dosing of hormones and we always start with progesterone. Since you have had a hysterectomy, you will also need estrogen, and down the road, maybe testosterone. But we always check hormone levels (not using blood serum) to determine exactly what hormones and what dosing your body needs. Pellets take at least 3 months to wear off, before getting levels checked. Why don’t you go to my website, click on “Begin Your Journey,” scroll down to the bottom where it says “type in your zip code here.” Up wil pop a list of drs who work with bhrt in your area. You will need to call those dr offices and ask if that dr works with compounding labs on personalized bhrt for his patients. When you find a dr, email me at lyn@ and I can direct your next step. When you find a dr, we can work with you over the phone to guide your next steps. Hope this info helps! Hang in there!
